“Apocalypto” - Director Mel Gibson's “Apocalypto” is one of my personal favorite films to watch and made it in our list of best 2006 movies. In fact, I feel this amazing motion picture ranks up there with some of the finest adventure films ever made. What is so amazing about this movie is the fact that its starring cast are all a bunch of no-name actresses and actors that no one has ever heard of. This goes to show what a superb directing job Mel Gibson did on this movie. “Apocalypto” takes us to a very colorful and interesting period of world history that has rarely been shown on film until now. A wonderful movie to watch!

The Best 2006 Movies
The year 2006 produced a lot of superb independent films along with a number of major Hollywood productions. The 2006 movie list below is in no particular order and was created to highlight several of the best 2006 movies which are truly worth watching. Here is a list of what I consider to be the best movies of 2006!
