The New Star Trek Movie Review

I managed to speak to many a diehard original Star Trek fan prior to the new Star Trek movie being released. You know, the Star Trek fan who thought that searching the Internet for Star Trek downloads and Star Trek Enterprise downloads was an exciting time. Well, these guys and gals were all set to give two thumbs down to the new Star Trek movie, but after watching it on the big screen for the first time, they were prepared to go where they have never gone before, back to the movie theater to watch it again and again and again.

No fooling, these serious Star Trek fans of the original series have never readily accepted any of the Star Trek spin-offs into their hearts. If the film or TV show didn’t have the original Star Trek characters like Captain Kirk or Mr. Spock on the bridge of the Enterpise, then to them it just wasn’t Star Trek. The producers knew this, that’s why Star Trek characters from the original series like William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy were forever making cameo appearances in Star Trek: The Next Generation movies. In the new Star Trek movie, Leonard Nimoy does make an appearance.

Now, after seeing the brilliance of the new Star Trek film, those same devoted fans are now ready to lower their shields and beam up to the next sequel, that is if one is being planned. Along with the hopes of there being another new Star Trek movie in the works, many of the stalwart fans are even hoping that the new Star Trek cast become part of a new Star Trek television series. Wouldn’t that be great!
