Playing video games is much better if you don't have to use cheats, hints and tips to win the game. Most video game designers try to make their games so you can have fun finishing their games without using tips, cheats and hints. Video games are supposed to be challenging to win otherwise you wouldn't feel like you achieved very much in beating the game.
With that said, some video games can be made to be too difficult to play or you may have missed doing something important that was necessary to advance gameplay.
