When peer-to-peer networking services and downloading free music hit the Internet, it was as if a school of sharks were in a feeding frenzy, what with the way music lovers were downloading free music mp3's and free music video's by the boat loads. I hate to admit it but, during the Napster craze, I was getting my share of free mp3 downloads just like everyone else. I didn't know better, and the availability of free music was too great to resist. CDs of my favorite music groups that I thought were impossible to find were suddenly right there on my desktop, just waiting to be downloaded for free. It seemed like the perfect subscription music service. You could get totally free music downloads any time you wanted. All you needed was a high-speed connection and a computer and poof! you could get all of the free mp3 music and free music video's you could handle.
